Do not use TOP END MOTORS.I recently had a leaking heater hose fixed at Top End Motors in Kununurra as well as a check over before heading along the Gibb. What I didn't ask for were the problems that followed:- didn't bleed the cooling system properly, making me loose about 2/3 of the reservoir. Toyota say it should be at full when cold.- cracked the mounting points for my catch can bracket- blew the 50amp circuit breaker running my car fridge, and rewired my auxiliary battery wiring over the top of the airbox (I couldn't access the filter then..)- broke 3 clips on the fender guard when reconnecting the snorkel- left the engine bay covered in coolant sprayAfter fixing all the issues myself over the weekend as they only open Monday to Friday, I went back to the mechanics. A good mechanic will accept when things go bad and make right with the customer. But Top End didn't. The mechanic who worked on the car came out and both were defencive even with my photos as proof. I received some coolant and a circuit breaker as compensation. The idea of any refund on the $125 an hour I was charged (2.5 hours) was never an option with these guys.We all make mistakes in life, but how these guys handled the situation was pathetic. If you want to be charged high prices and be given sloppy work, then yeah go to Top End Motors.There are plenty of mechanics in Kununurra, don't waste your time and money on these cowboys.
Old Terracan needed a service while in Kununarra. Luke fitted us in and did running repairs on brakes and suspension and pointed out what needed further urgent attention. They also cleaned the car, wow! Professional and good automotive skills mixed with pleasant and courteous front desk manner from staff. Wasnt cheap but you get what you pay for with old SUV's.
I have nothing but praise for Luke and his team. Always helpful and courteous. Good mechanical knowledge. First stop for any vehicle problems
We were recently "rescued" off of the Gibb River Road by Luke and his team.........this was a very frustrating and traumatic time for my husband and I but Luke and his team were very helpful in helping us resolve this situation and getting our car and caravan back to Perth. We would like to express our appreciation to Luke for lending us his own personal vehicle to enable us to get around Kununurra whilst we got things sorted. Also for transporting our vehicle to the freighting company in order that we could get our car back to Perth.......this was done without asking for any compensation. Also I would like to thank his partner for the glass of wine when we arrived in Kununurra frazzled and forlorn. Once again thanks Luke and team.
